WM. S. HAYNES STERLING SILVER FLUTE!!! Wm. S. HAYNES STERLING SILVER FLUTE – Closed-hole, C-foot, Solid Silver Head-joint, Body and Foot, matching Wm. S. Haynes Original Head-joint, Off-set G Key. Haynes Flutes have been famous for generations as a leading American made, custom flute manufacturer and are probably the most popular models of flutes used by professional performers. This Commercial Series flute was manufactured in the Boston plant in 1947. This flute has been completely overhauled with premium pads & key corks, disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, oiled and professionally serviced to “Like New” performance condition. Cosmetically this flute is at least a 9.5 out of a 10 with only minor indication of prior use. It is accompanied with original silver tenon caps, original leather covered case and cleaning rod. Immaculate 1949 Solid Silver Haynes Flute. Made by the Wm. S. Haynes Co. in Boston, Mass. It is a closed hole/Plateau, C foot, Recently Reconditioned and in Perfect Playing Condition. The only issue, it does not have the Original Case. This flute is worth 2000.00 Per the Haynes Flute Co. Alan Weiss is the Gentlman I spoke with and who ran the Serial Number. This is a very Nice Piece! Its a Great Collector Flute. Great Condition for being 63 yrs Old.

This is a GORGEOUS William S. Haynes handmade flute, open hole, inline G C foot. The Haynes company has made some of the best flutes ever produced, and really set the standard for what a fine symphony flute should be about. There are two models produced by Haynes-the commercial model, which is a very fine flute, and the handmade model which is a phenomenal instruments. This is a fines example of the handmade model. Each tonehole (see pic) is individually hand-soldered, allowing intonation to be individually corrected and adjusted for each note. The head, body, foot, and keys are all solid silver, of course, and every facet of this instrument is individually hand-adjusted. Functionally, this flute is in terrific shape. This is a Professional Muramatsu HANDMADE DN-model(=current DS-model) inline-G, pointed arms, open holes, HEAVY wall thickness. The flute is completely solid silver flute including the keys and is in absolutely perfect condition. The equivalent current model DS goes for $8,900 plus $400 for heavy wall and really does not differ significantly so this your opportunity to own a professional level HANDMADE Muramatsu at a very reasonable price. The heavy wall really makes a difference when I played this flute…it has a dark centered sound that still has lots of volume and projection. This is a great flute for solo or orchestral/wind ensemble playing. At the moment you cannot buy a completely solid silver handmade flute anywhere new for less than $7,000.00 so your savings are amazing. This is a professional flute all the way. This flute was overhauled within the last five years and not played much. The pads are excellent, it has just had a COA and is looking for a good home. If this was an offset model I would keep it for myself!
