Up for auction is a beautiful Gemeinhardt flute. It was used for about 2 years back in the late 90s. I thought I would save it for my children, but they are not interested. This flute has been taken very good care of and is in excellent condition. It is solid silver with a gold plated mouthpiece. It is an open-hole custom flute, but you can buy the plugs for a beginner very cheap. If you have any questions, please ask. Check out my 100% positive feedback rating! This open hole flute has inline G keys and a B foot as recommended by band insructors.The B footjoint provides a longer tube allowing a greater resonance in the flute, as well as providing advancing flutists opportunities to utilize alternate fingerings for greater facility in the upper register. It has been completely reconditioned by a retired NAPBIRT flute technician with 40+ years experience. This flute is a perfect choice for an advancing flautist or could be used by a beginning student when used with open hole plugs (not included) until their technique develops. It has been completely disassembled, with every piece professionally cleaned and polished. All pads are LIKE NEW premium, yellow, woven felt, double bladder pads. They have been cleaned, properly leveled and seated for optimal performance. All corks (including head cork) have been checked and are as new or have been replaced. All felts have been checked and are as new or have been replaced. All springs have been checked and adjusted and are as new or have been replaced. All tenon fit has been checked and adjusted as necessary. After reassembly, the head cork was adjusted and the keys adjusted and oiled for smooth operation. A final polishing was administered once the flute was play checked and found to play perfectly through all registers. This Gemeinhardt flute plays with outstanding timbre and projection. This silver plated flute has a beautiful shine. It has very few minor surface scratches that keep it from being absolutely brand new in appearance. Maybe it looks so good because it stayed in it's case instead of being practiced!! Only has 2 very minor dings that are so small would not show up on photo. All pads are there and seal.
