You are bidding on a gently used Armstrong Model 80B solid silver flute. Many professional features: Solid silver head joint and body, range to low B (improves intonation), inline G, and open holes. I directed band for 10 years and this is the very make and model I sought for my own daughter to play. Has been sitting for a few years, so may need some slight adjustment. Sterling Silver Thin Wall Headjoint (feather engraved), Silver-plated body and keys, C foot, Open hole, unique left hand C key, in great playing condition, provides dark and round sound throughout registers, fully functional, pads in good condition (some recently replaced), light scratches and some minor dings on surface of flute that do not affect playability, fully functioning springs and corks, 5 silicone flute plugs, cleaning rod and original case included.

I am a retired band director. I buy instruments for companies that rent them out. Some instruments only require small adjustments that I can do. I sell these horns on E-bay at a great discount to the buyer. Quality used horns are made stronger and with more precision than newer cheap horns. They can be repaired and will maintain a value if you take care of them. You will have a hard time getting a better value for your dollar than from buying my instruments. Check my feedback. I ship through US Postal Service parcel post (7 to 9 days) or flat rate (3 to 4 days) if it fits. All student beginning instruments have been play tested. That means all of the keys, valves, slides, pads, corks work as they should and the horn responds on all notes. These horns are all used and will show some wear although with many, you have to really look close to find the wear. I only buy and sell name brand horns that have a proven record of performance and reliability. The beginning students horns are all ready to play with the mouthpieces cleaned and disinfected and include cases. I try and describe any blemishes or dings, dents and scratching as possible. I take plenty of photos so you can see the appearance of the horn before you buy it. I will insure shipping of all instruments sold for the price for which they are sold. If you return an instrument you must insure it for the price of the instrument. There will be a re-stocking fee (to cover insurance and repacking) for returned instruments the cost depending on the size and price of the instrument. I will expedite shipping at your request if you are willing to pay the increased cost and I will ship overseas. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase let me know right away. DO NOT TAKE THE INSTRUMENT TO A REPAIR SHOP and expect me to pay the bill without prior agreement. Thank you for your interest and feel confident in bidding. This is an older flute but it plays well. It has a ripple in the head piece that isn’t too noticable and the handel on the case is rugged but it is a quality open holed flute. It has new cork plugs in it now but they are easy to remove.

This listing is for a VINTAGE 60s Armstrong Flute MOD Magne-Loc Case . This item came to us as a trade, not sure the history to it. Really unusual piece! Magne-loc has a great Jetson’s Mod feel! Flute is in over G Condition Vintage with noticeable wear on finish, tarnishing a two minor ding. Flute is marked ” W.T. Armstrong Elkhart, IND”. Flute Center is marked 102D7059 and flute tail is marked 536710 (Frankenstein flute perhaps?) … Case is magnet locking and in in G Condition with age wear on velvetine and one missing spacer. Solidly constructed and an awesome display piece for a collector! Flute will require professional care before playing. Flute is being sold AS IS / FOR PARTS. Armstrong Flute 104 STUDENT SET UP serial #6109558 This is a Silver Plated Closed Hole Student Flute pitched in the Key of C. It has an offset G and a C Foot. The Flute was made by the famous USA Company; Armstrong Flutes. There are no dents or any evidence of dent repair. There are only the slight scratches from wiping the Flute down after play. To get the best idea what kind of condition this Flute is in, please take a close look at the photos. This Flute has not seen much use and does not show any signs of wear through on any of the keys. The Flute shines bright and looks good. It is a Armstrong 104 and they where built to last. We have hand cleaned the Flute without Chemicals. The Flute fits together without any play. And we have play tested the Flute until we have been satisfied that it plays as it should for a Flute at this level. The Flute comes with a Hard Shell Case.

Cosmetically the trumpet does and some scratches and scuffs(see Pictures) but overall is in really good shape. This is in no means pristine, but it will make a good flute for any beginner. Comes with a hard carry case. Tried looking up the serial, and I think this was made in 1973. Serial Number: 6167806Made in the USA In 1931, William Teasdale Armstrong, a highly respected craftsman, founded his small flute repair shop in Elkhart, Indiana.
