Solid Silver Gemeinhardt C Foot Flute from approximately 1977 (per Gemeinhardt operator) Bought used from my mother’s friend in 1987Still works just fine…needs a good cleaning and a tune up (pads and such), but still plays Case is included and is in OK condition ( was used and carted everywhere while I was in HS…)Includes tuning fork as well.Confirmed approximate year with operator at Gemeinhardt and she also indicated that a new flute comproable to this one would be approximately $2100So this is quite a deal on a really good HS flute :)Payment is via paypal only and due within 48hrs after auction endsBuyer is responsible for shipping, but if reserve is met…shipping will be free ! The actual item being sold is shown. Here is a Gemeinhardt silver plated flute model M2 made in Elkhart, Indiana, Serial number A96619. It is housed in its original case, which looks near new. The flute itself is decent in appearance with a few minor dings on the mouthpiece end, not affecting its use. It has one bad pad but can be played if it is covered with a piece of damp tissue. Probably it would best to have a complete pad replacement. It is missing the crown and tuning rod, both of which should be available at a low cost (perhaps even free) from a school music department. Here is a good solid value at a low price. Please find postage anywhere by clicking the Calculate Shipping Button. Handling includes private insurance and the new 15% commission eBay charges on postage. Buyers out of the US should check postage before bidding as the US post office has discontinued international surface mail so everything goes by air. My name is Megan, I’m a College student– I received this great flute as a gift from a relative who owned a music shop, but it was a strange gesture because I don’t (and never have) played the flute. This is a 3 piece flute made by capital edition jupiter. I dont know if it’s full silver or silver plated or sterling silver, but i know that it was 800 dollaes brand new. there a 3 little dings on it. comes with a black case withred velvet on the inside. this is a beautiful flute and sounds fantastic.
